Pat Metheny's Orchestrion Tour comes to Binghamton
Jazz musician Pat Metheny brings his Orchestrion Tour to the Anderson Center stage at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19. The orchestrion -- an ensemble of 40 mechanical instruments integrated with robotic technology -- merges an idea from the 19th century with the technology of today to create a new, open-ended platform for musical composition, improvisation and performance.
